DEEQA implemented this project in UNHCR new compound in Mogadishu, Somalia for a period of more than nine months. The project scope included cleaning, laundry, general repair and maintenance services. DEEQA achieved high level of satisfaction from UNHCR team in this project.

Services Management  

Deeqa services in this project were managed as round the clock service provision to ensure end-user requests are addressed properly and the preventive maintenance are performed on time. DEEQA also had a small team for ad-hoc and round the clock requests for emergency maintenance or fixing matters. The scope of this project also included ground maintenance and gardening to the open spaces, construction and rehabilitation services which include both horizontal and vertical structures, repair services in the water, electric, masonry, welding and masonry works.

Quality Control

All services met client satisfaction and were in accordance with international service delivery and safety standards. Further, the project strictly followed standards of quality, environmental protection and supply chain. The QC/QA officer was full time assigned to the project and was observing all personnel, tools and equipment, supplies and consumables along with services. In cases of deviation from the required standard the officer was authorized to give order of stop work, but it was not needed during the project.

Team Management

The Project Manager was Mr. Muktar Ali Mohamed who has extensive experience in service management. He was assisted by a team of sitesupervisor(s) that included Civil Engineers, QA/QC and Draftsmen. Other key personnel included electricians, masons, carpenters, welders, painters, gardeners, ground maintenance teams and laundry teams.

DEEQA supplied all personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services deemed necessary. The team successfully managed to prove that the above services are delivered efficiently and on time.
